A Blast From the Past

This tale is about Tagon the dragon who can’t remember his past. Throughout the story Kaptain Kidd helps him “remember by association” by showing him his Grandma’s scrapbook and photos. When Tagon first looks at the pictures, he remembers part truths. But when he reads the facts that his Grandma has written down about the photos and events, he discovers that his memory isn’t always accurate. Throughout the story Tagon is reminded, “It’s important to remember true facts about your past. When you write down the facts it helps your memory to last. Your past affects your life today, in so many ways.” Discussing this story with children helps them begin to understand how they remember past experiences and how these experiences affect them today
